We’re a small group of volunteers, who have already put our money where our mouth is and divested our superannuation from an enviro-destroying fund (the majority) and re-invested it into a fund which is proactively investing in renewable forms of energy.
Our awareness raising methods will be postering, leafleting, facebook, information stalls at festivals and in the city (we’re in Sydney).
Because we care about the health of the planet, we care about the next generation of humans, we realise greed aint good and finally, our government isn’t leading us, so we realised we need to make it happen without them.
The best thing about this is that you DON’T need to WAIT for the government to finally drag itself into the 21st century and sign off on a carbon reduction target that makes logical sense, you can do the exact same thing right here and right now.
DO IT! Why wait a second longer, the earth cannot wait for the government, it needs you to make the change that policy makers don’t have the guts to make.
Make the change today – email us and we will send you the links to several superannuation companies’ roll over forms so you can simply fill them out and make the change today, NOW even.
Then email us, with information on your old super company and your new one…. We want to be able to keep tabs on how many people have divested and if you want to tell us why, we will post your comments on our website. If you prefer to remain anonymous that’s okay, just tell us that you have filled in the forms and rolled over so we can keep a score.
The more the merrier and the greater reach and impact we will have.
